New site? Maybe some day.
I forgot how cool this band was. I got stoned the other day and decided to throw "Low" into the Cd player on my drive to CT. That album rips, so i ended up listening to The Gathering and Demonic also.
Although I was never a big fan of 80's testament, even when they had Alex Skolnick (sp), I'm ahuge fan of Low onwards. Ever since Chuck Billy started his new style on Low, wow , this band just took it to another level. It was cool to reconnect with the music after not listenign to it for awhile.
Does anyone know if they have any plans for a new studio album? Last time I looked at their website Eric Peterson had broken his leg while they were touring Europe and they had to get a fill in guy.

the only once I got was the Legacy, like fifteen years ago. I should check out their other opuses (opi?) |
aw man, their stuff from mid-90's 'till present is killer, so much more aggressive. I like Eric Perterson's guitar playing, he's a great rhythem player and can pull out some sick solos also. There's a revolving door of drummers though, John Tempesta plays on LOW, Gene Hoglan plays on Demonic, and Dave Lombardo plays on The Gathering. All very cool. |
THE GATHERING is an absolutely sick album... awesome riffage. |
their problem is shitty drumming unless is was lombardo on drums.
he added A LOT to their sound. |
I liked Gene Hoglan on Demonic. Tempesta on LOW, well he was just a fill in guy, he's not even credited with the rest of the band memebers, you have to look reallt hard to find his name way down o the credits. Maybe it was a chemistry thing, since he was just a temp. |

I'm a fan of all there stuff. 80's through the 90's. Although you should pick up First Strike Still Deadly. They rerecorded a bunch of old songs more like they do it now. Tempesta on Drums, Skolnick on Leads and Digorgio on Bass. Sick album. |
Yeah, I like First Strike Still Deadly except for the drumming. The Gathering is my favorite too and I think it's mainly because of Lombardo. If Lombardo was on FSSD I think that would have owned. Low is an alright album but the Gathering is by far their best IMO.

Testaments's only good albums are The Legacy and the New Order. After that they went way downhill.Their other albums only have 2-4 good songs on each.As for a new Testament album, dont look like their gonna release one by the end of this year.Check out www.testamentlegions.com and you'll find no new updates regarding this. |
didn't they redo a bunch of old songs with lombardo? |
No.Im not sure who the drummer was on First Strike... |
