Believe it or not, that Death to All tour was probably the best show I attended in 2012.
I really hope this happens close to Boston (NY will do)

4/18: Detroit, MI @ St. Andrew’s Hall
4/19: Cleveland, OH @ House of Blues
4/20: Cincinnati, OH @ Bogart’s
4/21: Chicago, IL @ House of Blues
4/23: Montreal, QC @ Club Soda
4/24: New York, NY @ Irving Plaza
4/25: Philadelphia, PA @ Theater For Living Arts
4/26: Silver Springs, MD @ The Fillmore
4/27: Worcester, MA @ Palladium
4/28: Toronto, ON @ Phoenix Concert Theatre
4/29: Mexico City, MX @ Circo Volador
No confirmed openers yet though.
I can personally vouch that the Death to All NYC show last year was quite excellent. While there is a MA show I don't want to go to that because the Palladium's sound is terrible, and also because Steven Wilson is playing the same day. Maybe i'll try and set up a carpool for the NYC show or something.
Palladium went ahead and booked the worst possible local openers that sell tickets as usual. Do they even know any other local bands or just the same 5 shitty ones?
Never heard of any of em. "Black Mass" at least has a cool name, hope they earn it.
Looking at the schedule, typical garbage, gay.
But LOL'd @ "The Browning" - They should play a pants-pooping festival, which I guess 'New England (non) Metal and (non) Hardcore' pretty much is.
How anyone can actually subject themselves to WRITING this type of music, i'll never know.
As for this Death to All show... i'm still torn between seeing Death to All or Steven Wilson in Boston, or not spending money at all and staying home. Likely i'll decide the morning of. Haha

Pretty sure Hoser made a thread about them and how good they are a couple of months ago. It obviously didnt go over very well.
if you are debating between seeing a Death cover band over shitty ass solo Steven Wilson, a fool is you.

So, is anyone actually going to this? I was thinking about it because I love DEATH, but with no Chuck it seems sorta pointless. I don't know... I'm torn.

I take it you don't care for Steven Wilson? Personally, he's probably my favorite individual musician out there. I love, more or less, everything he's done regardless of what project it was.
I've seen both Death to All AND Steven Wilson solo and both were absolutely phenomenal shows. If I had the funds, and were two different nights, i'd definitely go to both. But I don't really have much money so I may end up going to neither. Which is not a big deal, but is still quite a bummer.
Also, anyone who hasn't seen Death to All who disses them is an idiot. They are so incredible live, and all the vocalists they've gotten sound just like Chuck live. It's nuts, and a crazy experience. The biggest downside to the DtA show is that it's at the palladium. A HoB show would've been such a better venue for this, IMO.
I actually REALLY dislike the newest Steven Wilson album, The Raven That Refused to Sing, it was way too much wanking and Steven Wilson really stretched those songs out way too long. Which is a shame, because Grace for Drowning is probably my favorite album of 2011. It's just so fucking gorgeous.
Oh yeah, on topic, a friend had tickets to Death to All but can't go - so she's giving them to me for free. So i'll be here, cool beans.
I hear Wily is back with Vital now and they're opening Palladium show on 4-27

May all Scott's enemies suffer for the ratting, lieing and steeling as he watches them fail continuously from the 4th death dimension, and haunts them from ethereal plains eternally.

Was offered a free ticket to this in exchange for a ride. Will most likely pass. The openers are terrible. Unless she wants to go late. Anyone know what time exhumed and "death" play at?
1. Why are you going to see Pantera tribute bands when you think they are overrated?2.Why would anyone go see a Pantera tribute band? 3. There is 0 % chance a tribute band would have a Pantera banner and not a banner with their tributes name 4. When are you going to let Ryan show your anus a vulgar display of power?

I was joking about how absurd your comment is, I can't stand most Pantera.
