Ravi Shankar was a key figure in having Eastern music moved into the Western sound. I can understand why most won't care, but the sitar and his impact with meshing sounds and cultures was important during his heyday. I've got nothing but respect for what his place was in the history of music.
Plus, the sitar is the best instrument evar.

TO MOURN HIS PASSING HERE IS MY FAVORITE RAVI SHANKAR SONG. WE'RE THE BEATLES.
this thread does not deliever, plus it was George Harrison that got them into the eastern influence not Paul McCartney, AND the sitar is not the best instrument ever. False statement is full of FALSES.

Name one acoustic stringed instrument that makes more trippy sounds than the sitar. I BEG YOU, WIG MAN
Yes, I believe the sitar to be one of the most unique sounding instruments. I've always held high regard for it, not just because of how "trippy" (subjective) it's sound is. I put acoustic in there because obviously one can do a lot with an electric guitar.
WHAT ELSE YOU WANT TROLL. WHERE YA AT

Yea I understand the significance and all, I just can't remember the last time I found myself sitting around listening to my Ravi Shankar LP collection.

yea, BRB let me go invest in a sitar and learn how to play it. ITT: musical instrument appreciation only applies with instruments one uses in their band

And now, what you've been waitin' for, another long raga by Ravi Shanker
The piano is by far, the most important instrument of all time. If one learns piano at a young age, you can essentially play just about every instrument. every note being laid out for you is key. LOL GET IT

your arguement is invalid, your opinion is not fact, and now you have changed your mind on what the best acoustic instrument is.

perfect example of you changing your OPINION, and show me factual evidence that anyone who learns the piano at a young age can essentially play just about every instrument?
Surely, a man of your education in the English language can spell "argument" correctly. I love how you pussy ass nigga trolls take everything as fact then log out to try to be cute and funny.

indeed I misspelled that incorrectly, lets change the focus to my grammer instead, and not all this nonsense your keep spewing.
Yea, taking a statement with "evar" in it as a serious validation of my actual opinion and then trying to call me out anonymously is really 1700s of you, bro. Your "grammer" is just mind-blowing and also made me realize who you are. IM GONNA BREAK YOUR ABILITY TO CREATE DAGUERREOTYPES
