This doesn't seem that weird. People who like Morbid Angel probably already have all their classic albums pre-Spotify, and are just using Spotify to check out the epically terrible song that they hear everyone going on about from the new album they won't buy.
Pandora is terrible, unless of course they've kept up with Spotify and last.fm in terms of variety. I've always found last.fm to have thr most but Spotify has impressed me lately.
The facebook posting of the music is just something Spotify does to increase promotion for themselves. It doesn't overly matter.
You listen to a few songs, a commercial, you listen to a few songs, a commercial, etc. and if you want to make a playlist you can or if you want to send a artist/song to a friend, you can. There's really not much to it.

Spotify is awesome. You can choose to have it post on fb for you. I have the full version, no ads. It's pretty awesome.
