It's not exactly a secret that I've talked shit about some of the stuff he's set up on this board before, but I was actually kind of bummed out when I heard about this.
Damn, yup. Pete was the one who always had the mega keggers in NK. He had Dying Fetus one year, Overcast another year (which got broken up by the cops midset). I knew Pete a long time and will never forget him and all he did with shows he got my bands on and the parties at the Jeep Shop (my brother's bachelor party included). I was also good friends with Buddha. Unfortunately the last time I saw Pete was at Buddha's funeral. Gettin older...
He's been battling cancer for 2(? ) years. Last I heard on the fb, he was doing better but that was probably 8 months ago. Then I only saw people posting old/longhair pics of him. I should have known something wasn't right so I was surprised when I saw mike Mccarthy's post about this today.

One of the nicest dudes I've Played for. Known Pete for a while and it was always a pleasure. My most heartfelt condolences for those who knew him better and were close. Rhode Island will be that much less awesome without you, bud. Thanks you for the good times. RIP Pete.
Never knew the guy but went to plenty of his shows and even played some. Definitely brought a lot of talent to the area and he will be missed by many. RIP.
