the game came with the player's guide and a massive box...if i still had that shit yeah it would be on ebay. the art style is cartoony but it is a nintendo game after all, there was a lot of monty python humor in it, and a lot of the game was really bleak with religious cults and alien-infested caves.
Was just playing it the other day after we briefly talked about it, Ark. It's funny, I have some real expensive games. Crusader of Centy is going for 250 dollars on ebay. Might sell. Still got all my boxes.
you have to get that fan translation of mother 3 and emulate it. i need to continue that. only passing connections to earthbound but it had the same feel.
I have chrono trigger and secret of mana cartridges as well which are supposedly worth something, but probably not worth shit without the box, and they're just collecting dust in the basement so it's not like they're in pristine condition.
I remember renting Earthbound circa '95. Wasn't too blown away by it. I'll pay top dollar for a SNES cartridge of Star Ocean, though.

zelda is action/adventure. it's not a role playing game because you just play link, who's role is clearly defined in the story, and you don't change any of his attributes, abilities, etc. it doesn't fit the classic definition which only matters to nerds. and regardless, it's one of the best games of all time.
SNES/GENESIS had the best RPGs of my childhood (I know some of these are turn based RPGs, and some considered "Action", but they all fall into the same time consuming category... Secret of Mana, Legend of Gaia, Gemfire, FF2, FF3, Landstalker, Warsong, SHINING FORCE 1/2, Wanderers of Ys.. the list goes on and on.

Sega was FAR superior in certain areas for a while. sports and action games were so much better on Genesis than Snes. SNES had much better RPGs but lets face the facts: Squaresoft solely made games for SNES..
Squaresoft before the Enix merger was the best gaming company in the history of video games.
Still have both of those and my memory card with saves that had all 108 stars of destiny recruited/Gremio and Nanami alive. Do not own a PS1 but only the Matilda Gate exploit in 2 is real.

The third one for ps2 is okay but not as good as 1 and 2.
OMG the first dragon warrior ruled my life for a couple years.. me and my faggy buddy used to call it DW, and my little sister always thought we were going to play "Darkwing Duck".
if I'm included in this rttpg, I want to be an Ettin, and one of my heads can be normal, sober ross, and the other will be constantly super wasted and belligerent.
