This is a repost--but what are some excellent brands out there. Been doing the green thing in every way possible for 15 years and my lady and I are thinking about doing what we should have done years ago.

Smoking is the easy part. I simply wish for a much easier method of acquirement that doesn't involve days of phone calls and driving to zanzibar.

Haven't seen the volcano but it doesn't sound discrete or small.We do have a lil one who runs amuck-as-fuck. So..

And 500? Split between 2 people, it aint that bad, but the 90's DM dood in me would say "get 500 worth of heads and roll it all up." The new age dood is all like, "health, efficiency, and chemestry."

Sadly, arrowhead does have optimum geographics for procurement- if I recall. Alas, in the process of collecting a bunch of mediocre lefthanders--he sacrificed all 'lasting' connections.

Volcano is the size of a toaster, bu looks like a Madonna boob in the 80s. It is German engineered and is very precise and effecient. It shoots the vapor into plastic bags. But at the same time, you can save yourself 250 bucks and get a much cheaper vape.

I live further south than Rob, in Plymouth. Good area, but I know all of two people around here, one just stopped selling and the other involves driving and meeting in sketch places.

As for severing ties, I DID ditch out on Rob, if that's what you mean. I wouldn't call him a connection, as he didn't smoke. We just rubbed each other the wrong way, and the whole thing with your album recording was an absolute embarrassment to me.

I'd say the single coolest day I spent at that house was the day you and the band were there recording. Green buds, Jackson guitars, I think I was jamming with the wrong people all along. ;)

i recommend vapor brothers. Here's why:

-you get it for 125
-you get that other 375 in headies instead.
-you set it on mid-low level, and you don't get ALL of the THC from the bud, but you get to roll it after it's vaped and still get high. (with the volcano the bud is basically worthless after you vape it.)
-or set it on high, get all of the THC from the plant, but burn the plant a little bit. This way gives you hits that are comparably to volcano ones, they just take longer to inhale.
-the only breakable part is a 15 hose with glass ends. (it's called a whip)
-The functionality of the devices are very similar, the costs are NOT. Use your judgment to see if the differences are worth 375.

Question about the vaporizers: What is it like hitting one? Can it still cause you to cough/snarph, etc... or is it basically breathing air? I like feeling like you are actually sucking something in, but since quitting the cigarettes I couch and choke a lot more when smoking the reefer.

it definitely can still make you cough. Have you ever hit a keefe hit? Sometimes if you take too big a one it can make you cough MORE than normal weed hits, the tingle in the back of the throat is from the THC.

Yeah. That's how I met Corpus. Rob came to me and said a good band wanted to record with him, should he do it. I said NO, he was too used to direct recording and lacked the experience to do it well. He took the job anyway and asked me to help, I again said NO I didn't think we were able to do it well and put in the necessary time and effort. Next I know, I'm getting dragged over there and he's telling EVERYONE I was helping him record the Dysentery album. I'm sure everyone knows how that ended. To this day I still feel awful about how much of the band's time and effort got wasted.

and yeah, i've coughed from a volcano too. The hits WILL be easier to smoke than reg weeds, unless you become a hero and PILE it in there, at which point, it could make you cough a little. It's not the gross tar cough like weeds, it's more of a tickle tickle cough from the THC.

YES. If there's keef on the bowl I am 100% guaranteed to cough like crazy.

haha, yup. vapes are very similar, although with keefe you're still burning it, so it's a little harsher than the vape.

How about Descent? Is that album getting released? Haven't talked to him in almost 2 years. I think he sold that house but I don't know.

There's new tunes on the Descent myspace last I checked. I have no idea what he's doing lately though. After he tried to leave me a few voicemails I never heard from him again. I stress, I was the douche for up and ditching on the guy like that, he was nothing but nice to me. I guess certain personalities just don't get along together.

There's a vaporizer that's sold at a headshop in Leominster called the Dragons Leyer. It's 80 bucks, and it's essentially a metal bowl with a screw-on top that contains some sort of manufactured rock type thing. You put bud in the bowl, put the top on, and use the lighter to heat up the rock. The rock transfers heat to the bud and it gets vaped. It's pretty sweet.

the cheap vapor bros ones are right around 125, and they rule.

So you get a lot more mileage out of your bud with a vaporizer, or just more potent? Or is it just a healthier way to do things?

All three.

I wouldn't say that the bud is more potent, i would say that statement 1 and 3 were both true, and that a vape makes it possible for someone to take a bigger hit than they would otherwise be able to handle. Which WOULD be more potent, but only cuz your lungs can vape more than they can smoke.

my only issue with vaporizers is that it feels like the high comes on really strong and doesn't stay for long. whereas with smoking it's vice versa.

i was surprised no one mentioned the silver surfer sooner in this thread, i hear it is the end all be all of vapes, but alas, ive never used one.

Its not just about "big hits," and in turn, greater volumes of smoke. Its also about potency. Some units can very precisely control the amount of THC yielded with various "burning" points. A friend of mine used to burn all types of good nugget in his vape and then would cook with his vaped greens. I had some very wild cornbread one morning camping in the whites. Thanks for all the help dudes.

ive never liked vaporizers, everyone swears by the volcano but i found that i still wanted to fucking smoke a bowl after putting a ridiculous amount into the volcano. plus part of me feels that if you fill up one of those bags, that some of it is stale and useless by the time it enters into your lungs. i know that happens with smoke but dunno if the same rules apply to vapors.

i hear the silver surfer is much better tho, ive been wanting to try one before i buy one tho.

Nah. It's a killer combo if you do rips, then finish off with a fresh bag. The vapor can last for a while in the bag, assuming the molecules don't start sticking to it. Ive done a bag half an hour after it was vaped and it was fine.

Corp- that's why i said i like vap bros, cuz you can decide how high to turn it, and still cook with/smoke the herb.

as far as vapes go. i feel like its kind of a novelty. when i first got mine i used it every day but now i got months without even touching it. its cool to have though and you can definitely get them on ebay for like 40 bucks.

I have a vapomatic deluxe from Vapir. I swear by the brand, it's much more cost effective than the volcano but uses similar technology. My only suggestion is save half the price of the "delux" and get the Vapir 1, it's basically the same thing in a smaller package with less control over fan speed.

Cannabanoids vaporize at different temperatures. By heating the vape to the correct temperature, you can essentially consume ALL of the THC contained within your bowl pack, and get very little of the unwanted cannabanoids and chemicals (such as CBD). This not only makes it insanely more potent than lighting your buds on fire (THC that is consumed by fire is destroyed), but much healthier as well. All in all, your vapes pay for themselves in a matter of weeks.
