Please kill Exosus for me. I misread their name as Exodus and got excited for a second. |
I don't have any sick dance moves. |

I get we'll have to find out.
I heard this will be a night of full on misogyny |
hey george, you know how you aganihm kids are always yelling at me to play more blasts?
we have 2 or 3 new ones with the most sick metal riffage and blasting you've ever heard. GET PSYCHED. |
wooooooooooooooo it will be a blast!
and george make sure you tug on his RIGHT nipple...he loves that! ;)
Everytime I see this thread I think I see Exodus, but its only Exosus |
right right, exosus isn't exodus, but they ARE an amazing band driving all the way from DC to boston for this show, so come check them out even though they aren't the metal legends.. |

who was the special guest?
was it some sort of metaphor for the 100+ people? |
this show was wicked fun! |
Aganihm, dont break up, dammit. |
damn good show. it was aganihm at their best. i missed the heuristic, but got their cd. best 5 minutes ive heard in a long time. |
As Long As We're All Living...Were All Dying was pretty damn good too. First time at the H.O.S.S., this place as tons of heart, plus it sounds pretty good too! I will be going to more shows there definately.

the heuristic: I was outside and I heard some space rockish stuff coming from inside. it was george's new band warming up to play. the music was pretty interesting. think of if mogwai covered a pg.99 track. some of the parts were fast and they would go crazy and others were sparce and spacey.
aganihm: it was their last show and people definitely pitted it up. it was cool to see this band go from one of their first shows, through shows, releases, a live set on RTTP and then back to the last show before being released back to the creative vapors from whence they came. the set was sloppy and fun, ended with disrupt. being on george's birthday, I doubt anyone would want to spend it any other way.
as long as were all living...were all dying: I'm wondering if this and jonah's birthday were the reason that so many people showed up or george's birthday or aganihm's last show or the 3/4 full moon, but people came out in the large numbers and mixed it up for alawalwad. they played a bunch of tracks of the new 7" that they are releasing. the crowd even begged them for an extra song which ended in a pig pile behind the drums. all mens... how homoerotic.
anodyne: I'd only really heard the little track on the black on black comp so I really wasn't sure what I was going to get. the music was really good. I'm pretty sure that they are an influence of the heuristic cause there were some similarities. some slower parts and then rocked out. a mixture of a lot of music here, everything from examination of the... to today is the day. |
thank you so so much to all you guys that came out. I never expected that many people to show up..
all in all, the bands got paid, kids rocked out, photo's were taken everything went well. Aganihm will be missed but im sure their new bands will be bugging me for shows in no time. hah..
For those of you that liked our set, me and sam have a 7" coming out later this summer and will hopefully start recording for a full length when we get back from tour in July. Our old stuff is pretty hardcore, our new stuff is pretty metal, and the 7" is 5 songs that were written somewhere between the metal and the hardcore. Metalcore is a dirty word these days..but we mix it up a bit.. anyway, that is going to be mastered by the guy that did the last Isis record and the Red chord record so hopefully it'll sound pretty sweet..
thanks again for coming and for more fun diy shows check out:

Jonah, let me know if you're still coming to the Chopping Block show today (the 30th). Starts at 3, we've got our camera if you're still up for it.
Josh, you've got that Heuristic CD in your pocket still, make sure you bring it to the CB show.
Aaron, you have girl hair. |

I'll put it in my cah now.
Bitter End Fest was where I first saw Ascendancy, love was in the air. |
I actually have to work tomorrow afternoon :(
bum out, but I'll definetly make it to another one of your shows soon.
Vile, im not sure when, but i'll get you a cd at some point
rev, did we have dots at bitter end fest? |
pics came out great. my sticks kept breaking, i broke like, 3 or something. that's never happened before. don't know if anyone noticed, but i used a new ice bell. shit was way louder. umm, yeah, thanks to the 100+ kids in attendance. thanks to the kids that took all of our cds. if anyone didn't get one, email me or something. i'll mail you one. umm, yeah, i'll be releasing a re-mastered copy of the demo we recorded last october, and hopefully, we'll have a release out with the taste of silver with some newer material on it. thanks again. |
lemmie know when you make more cds dude |
yeah jay, i didnt get one of those either. i want a pin as well. |
i'm only gonna make cds if people ask for them. email me if you want a cd. you get no digipak though, just a sticker from the digipak and the cdr. diy, right? so far, i got blue down for one. any more?
oh shit, before i forget. drum tracks are gonna be laid down thursday for one last aganihm release. it'll be a split with the taste of silver. new ice bell and new splashes on this one, so it should sound interesting. i'm also gonna use a drumkit that doesnt sound like complete ass, so you can actually hear what i do on songs. there might even be...samples. oh boy.
and jonah, yeah, i'm gonna bug you for a show when i find a bassist and a guitarist. i think this thing with jacob might actually work out, we'll see tuesday, and i'm trying to convince jeff bramhall to play bass for it. either that or a rocksuck cover band.
goody gumdrops
"so far, i got blue down for one. any more?"
yeah, me, dummy.
rocksuck cover band? good luck. I'd like to see you even try and pull off the inovative-next level shit we were playing. |
