I mean, who gives a damn if one country in the world decides to not follow democracy, we aren't the world police...if Iran wants to turn into a military dictatorship let them. I guess our country was talking with Saudi Arabia about tougher sanctions, we are in treaty with a country known to spew forth hordes of terrorists, a monarchical government that bans women from driving and has public stoning as punishment, that's Saudi Arabia...and we are working with them against the only Islamic Democracy in the middle east, because they want to become more involved with nuclear technology.

I mean, if we're going to go to war with someone for treating their citizens like shit, sponsoring terrorism and producing (in this case having) nuclear warheads, why not go to war with Israel?

Technically speaking, looming is the correct word given the context, but brooding works just as well, only in the sense of what the word means. Forthcoming would be more legit.
