Deanna: is still amazed how Republicans are able to trick people into believing that they are the party of the worker- just because he drives around in a pickup truck doesn't mean he's a blue collar guy. Then again, I look at the teabaggers and I realize it's really not surprising to find out such a large percentage of voters ......are complete idiots. Read Mark's Note!

Both parties are morons. The democrats want you to believe they are the worker's party too, so why do they take all your money away and give it to people who don't work?

Deanna:
Um... they don't. But republicans don't and cannot help anyone as long as they are controlled by the religious right. It's more conservatives that I hate than republicans.

Kyle Devaney
They do take your money away, last time I checked the democrats were all about welfare, ebt, free health care. The government can't give anything to anyone unless it takes something from someone else first. And conservatives are beginning to split from republicans...it's a schism that will change politics for a long time and I'm sure we'll be looking at three big parties when it happens for a while.

Mark :
Non-Republican conservatives have always been around- anarchists and libertarians, who are even more ridiculous than Republicans. Taxes are the price you pay for living in a free country, and what would it say about a society that wouldn't be willing to help the least among us? Also, we have the weakest welfare state of any industrialized nation and most liberals do not support free health care. This country is center-right and I don't see that changing any time soon, that's the problem.

What free country? last time I checked we're only free until to government decides it's time to censor or take away said freedom. Taxes are not a part of being free, government is way too big and could save us a lot of money if half of it's staff and most of its programs were cut. Just like all the military funding we give to Israel, that would ... See Moresave about 80 billion a year there. and there is nothing wrong with helping the "weakest" just don't give them money with no strings attached, they should have a time limit, or a work program developed for them. and again, political parties mean nothing. You've lived in MA, I warrant, for most of your life so you're biased to the democrat party...seing they've been in power my entire life. And do your research on the Libertarians because they are probably the only hope this country has, and I'm not talking about the fake libertarians who have sprouted up in the last few years, the tea bag party and Glenn Beck are not Libertarians in any form, just riding the coattails of third party success.

Mark:
"What free country?" That's why I hate libertarians. And I don't judge Glenn Beck as a libertarian, but I am aware of who Ron Paul is and I think he's crazy. Also, we don't give away money with no strings attached- we created TANF in the mid-90s so that people who go on welfare do have work requirements, which has turned out to be an awful idea by ... See Morethe way. And do your research on government- the country isn't in the shape it's in now because of too much government, it's because the wrong people have been elected to government, which is all part of democracy. Also, my living in MA. does make me biased- I see that good education, good health care, and good infrastructure (comparatively speaking) are all possible given the right amount of government.

Kyle Devaney
Seeing that your for the government and I'm against it in it's current form it's useless to argue.

but on a closing note, since when is being forced to have state run healthcare or pay 500 a year part of living in a free society? As it is in MA I recall.

and that's where I ended the discussion, apparently the wrong people got elected which fucked us over, is this guy retarded...and having to find jobs to be on welfare is bad? I give up arguing seeing I can imagine this guy coming up with some retort about how MASSACHUSETTS IS AMAZING!
