Fucking Liturgy. Watch them melt my face off and I'll eat my words. And I even gave the album a double-check.

It was cool. They could have touched on some more things. But it was cool to see varg crack little jokes and see Fenris just talk. I might see it again.

As a metal listener, I have been trying to get people to pay attention to why I listen to metal -- for most of my adult life. They focus on it being loud, "angry" and possibly antisocial, but never accept that it might have a reason for being that way and I might have a reason for liking it.

Until the Light Takes Us looks into why people make metal, and crosses political and genre lines to show how large corporations, fast food restaurants, religions and socially popular ideas are all the same type of thing, and metalheads have reason to reject it.

By looking into early 1990s black metal, this film explores the thoughts all of us have but are afraid to admit we do. Metal is only the lens, but the topic is a very human one: how do we both get along socially and stay true to ourselves?
