New site? Maybe some day.

booooooooo |
I must admit, I kinda like that song too... |
What about "I'm Alive" by Kiss |
i now have this stuck in my head
I remember in high school, there was this hardcore/metal band that played the talent show thinger. The school newspaper compared them to POD and they got really pissed. |
I used to have to carpool to school and they'd always flick on 95.5 WBRU (PVD station) and POD would always come on. Hated that stuff. Christian rapcore numetal that that band from Plymouth tried ripping off big time. What was the damn name of that nu metal band from Plymouth MA that everyone used to make fun of? 10 points to the correct answer |
hey aril and sacreligion, here's your intellectual conversation thread! |
I thoughtyou were typing singer with a lisp. |
nah.. i believe it was Eastcide or something stupid like that. |
Purity's Demise?
the engineer at WBRU has help me a lot. he rules. |

ha! |
I think Eastcide had their "hayday" before POD was popular. Other shitty south shore nu metal/rapcore bands include J-Base, Reset Smith, Trigger Effect and 7th Rail Crew. |
I met John Earl (that was his name before Johnny Cupcakes) and Jon Blake at a party junior or senior year of high school. They asked me to play guitar for them. It was a sad day. |
remember shading the end? nu metal from everett. |
yeah, you could still be in a band that is together. |

EDIT: That was when they were The Sweeps, not OBW, so technically you are wrong. |
hahaha 7th Rail Crew.
I remember seeing "Kobalt" stickers all over the Taunton mall in the late 90s too. |
Our band took a nosedive after Fred Durst's career went down in flames. Game over man... game fucking over. |
hahaha 7th Rail Crew.

this was back when the Taunton mall was tolerable. now all they sell is sneakers and baby carriages |

Hahaha, that's because one of the main dudes in the band worked there at "We Got What's Hot." The poor goth's Hot Topic. |
hahahaha. he works at the Hot Topic now actually. never actually talked to the dude, but he used to wear cannibal corpse shirts and shit in the 90s. I tried talking to him about metal but he was the most awkward person ever. I bought some SOD shirt in We Got Whats Hot and never stepped foot in that place agian |
i saw POD open for ICP once. i have no idea who thought that was a good idea. |
Wait, that POD played, or that you actually went to that show? |
He's a JaJa Warrior. What can you say. |
a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B |

My old band Upon Crimson Wings was booked to open for Kobalt at Reflections in New Bedford, but the show got overbooked. When I met that guy in WGWH, I was glad the show fell through. He was wearing pleather pants. |
My friend got me to go to an ICP show with him, but I only went because it was free and Biohazard was playing. A somewhat entertaining show. |
Jeckel Bros. tour in 99. good show. at the Tsongas Arena. i was front row and at the end of the show they were taking the big buckets of Faygo and dumping them on the crowd, it was August so it was hot as balls, and when they picked up the bucket to dump on my section of the crowd, we all stuck our faces out for it, and it was full of ice chunks and bottled water. i still have a scar on my nose from it. |
Remember the Christian band from Western MA ... At Will? I think that was their name |
ha ya they were the big thing when i was in high school. obnoxious garbage |

Johnny Cupcakes hosts midnight screenings at the Coolidge. The movies he shows are awesome, however people line up 6 hours before show time so they can get their "limited edition" t-shirt for 40 bucks. I once told a customer who was unaware of the Johnny Cupcakes craze that it was overpriced crap, and of course Johnny Cupcakes himself was standing right behind me. He was apparently not amused... hehe |
ah Kobalt became Thy Will Be Done... |
what happened to Thy Will Be Done? |
Haha, Johnny Cupcakes is actually a nice guy; I have no problem with him, I just hated the bands he was in. |
they're still around. Saw them open for Finntroll I think haha.
Must say I enjoyed them more than I was expecting. (then again you know me and my hard to displease nature) |
what happened to Thy Will Be Done? |
i really like this band. i played alot of shows with their new guitarist Chris. he fuckin rips and has worked his ass off to get where he is. |
must see a picture of thy will be done. I'm wondering if it's the same dudes that used to work in that ghetto Hot topic store |
hmmmm... hard to tell. i think he cut his hair if he's in that picture. who knows, haven't seen the kobalt dude since 2000ish |

i worked with the bass player. he has STRAIGHTEDGE tattooed on his stomach, but i believe its missing the H or G. i know its spelled wrong. he started smoking pot and becoming sickeningly narcissistic and got the tattoo covered, it looks retarded. |
this is my most successful thread on RTTP.
it's the modern day attn: aril thread. |
You have the gay inside you. |

hahaha. I remember catching them at a VFW show in Taunton with one of my friends band. I think their EP was given to me. I might still have it.. I remember it had a praying mantis on the cover or something |

I saw this band open for Finntroll (maybe that was the show?) and they kicked ass, not-my-style melodeath/core but they're good nonetheless. I do know that one of the guys works at Hot Topic. Live with 2 people that work there and you learn everything you don't care about. |
if it's the same dude, he's been working at hot topic for 10+ years. or at least it seems that way. |
I'm pretty sure the singer is indeed the guy you're thinking about. I remember seeing them when they were Kobalt and in between preaching about veganism and recycling he gave shoutouts to all of his co-workers at Hot Topic. |
