So excited to see SYG and Fireworks again. Those bands make me boner. |
I don't like Vanna at all. |
I'm so excited to see your boner.
I don't really like a lot of the bands, but I really like seeing a lot of them live. |
Aaron find out what time Fireworks is going on. |
You are going to this instead of Harvey Milk? Fail.. |
yeahyeahyeah. I could have done both. place is packed. |
ugh im probably going to miss them. oh well. |
damn, I have the worst breath already. it seem like a mix of hardcoreish bands and pop punk. I've been here for under an hour and shot 3 bands. short ride was really good. im expecting huge things from mountain man in a second. |
mountain man delivery. high enery set. they could play a show with bear trap, short ride, and COA that could be over in 1hr start to finish.
transit got a huge crowd response. lot of new security faces so good for them since the average surfer is 110 @ 5' 5". |
the appreciation post get my favorite band name award. that is just bout the most positive name ever. they were rocky, everyone sung.
lions lions was HUGE no joke, their set was the best I've seen yet. I couldn't keep up with everything that was going on there. what's with all the short shorts and crowd surfing? |
that dylan or duncandude: "that's what you get when you get really high before going on stage" |
im confused by gravemaker. it was like hardcore gymnastics. I sort of wanted to go lift weights in the back during their set. |
Wow its amazing how these some of these bands have taken off
I saw Set Your Goals in Wakefield 4 years ago
Energy i've seen twice
Same with Transit and Vanna |
energy: for hardcore kids who like the misfits and tegan and sara. they played good enough for me to run down and shoot the swellers and then go back and shoot their last song. |
fireworks was pretty good. they had a dedicated singer (unlike the swellers) so it was more interesting. I was up behind the drummer when the singer ended up in the crowd. |
a loss for words was awesome. 50/50 guy/girl ratio for crowd surfers. amazing sound too. |
there are so many fuvkin people here. i want to die |
oh and the singer from lions lions got tackled trying to get back up on stage. an honest mistake on the bouncer's part. |
there is absolutely nothing enjoyable about vanna except for their jailbait |
vanna was fun. fuck what you hear. they rocked with davy on stage. the crowd was definitely all about them. |
generic melodic metalcore is awesome. |
so set your goals played. their newer stuff is a lot heavier than their old stuff. people surfed like mothers and since they were ahead of time, they played an extra song. EVERYONE HERE IS SOAKING WET. gross. |
fys just played a cover. idk what song. maybe 311? something like that. |
I had to stop into work. lame... 3090 pictures to go through. also lame. |
If this is Worcester Fest it's proof positive that Worcester is a horrible place. |
I stood outside after the show for like 20 minutes just looking at boobs. it was great. |
rev, fys covered third eye blind and reach the sky |
3rd eye blind. thats it. I hate that band. |
how many pictures are you fishing through? |
like a thousand. about to upload them to flickr now |
I keep searching the b9 for your thread... come on. |
ok, I'm making my own thread... |
since dan is too lazy with the ladies to do this....
KILL IT

Pop punk is weird. It has both the most attractive girls fans. and the most unattractive. boo. |

reviews/comments because I'm bored:
FOUR YEAR STRONG: Honestly expected A LOT more people on the floor for them. Thought the Reach The Sky cover went go over better. Set went by so fast. Lot of fun to watch this band.
SET YOUR GOALS: Their live sound to me isn't very good, but the energy of the crowd makes up for it. Played old and new material, which was great.
VANNA: Kind of the odd band out on the bill with their genre. Thought a lot of people would still be bummed over Chris. The new singer Davey of Seeker Destroyer was much better. Crowd went nuts.
A LOSS FOR WORDS: Another band I much prefer to see in small venues, but really got the crowd going. One of the hardest working bands right now.
FIREWORKS: I like seeing them in smaller venues. Thought their sound on the night wasn't that great.
THE SWELLERS: one of my favorite bands and used to seeing them with 50 people or less. them playing mainstage to 1000+ was crazy. people moshing to melodic punk rock is weird, but at least people had fun.
ENERGY: the singer made a comment that he thought people forget about them in MA. (judging by pics from the ICC show I'd have thought the same). got a ton of people singing along and covered The Misfits as usual.
GRAVE MAKER: a lot heavier than I thought. didnt get to see the covers they did, went upstairs for Energy.
DYLAN MASSUCCO: while a lot of bands didn't fill their set I believe he started early and he played right through his time limit. had a good crowd considering the downstairs was getting crowded.
LIONS LIONS: one of the best reactions of the day. one of the best live bands to watch. so much energy.
THE APPRECIATION POST: played their new song, then an oldie, then new material, so I left to watch Lions Lions through the third song.
TEAMWORK: not a fan of this band, but they sounded way better on the main stage than I've heard them the previous times.
ON IMPACT!: played acoustic, guitars seemed too loud to me. covered The Movielife
TRANSIT: weird to see them on a big stage. lots of people sang along.
MOUNTAIN MAN: only caught the first song before leaving to see Transit. probably should have watched more because they got a great reaction.
SHORT RIDE: hadn't got to see them before. thought they'd be more punk than hardcore I was wrong. got the crowd moving.
THRASH UNREAL: crowd wasn't as big downstairs as I thought, pop/rock didn't really get the crowd going much, but it was early.
SUCH GOLD: covered Saves The Day and Snapcase. pretty big crowd for the opening band.
