Limelight Magazine is pleased to announce that Adrian Belew of King Crimson will bring his amazing Power Trio to the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River where the audience will get a rare chance to see him in an intimate setting. In addition to brand new material, the live show will feature classics from Belew's many solo albums, spirited improvisation, King Crimson favorites, and special solo moments by Belew.

Belew, a pioneering guitarist, composer, vocalist, and electronic artist, will be performing at the Narrows as part of a tour of the East Coast on Saturday, Sept. 5, in a show that will start at 8 p.m.

Since 2006, Belew has led his favorite Power Trio lineup, with Eric Slick (drums) and Julie Slick (bass). They have been lighting up audiences all around the globe, from Italy to Canada to Germany to Japan and back to the USA. After a triumphant national tour last year, they are returning to the road this summer.

Belew is well-known for his diverse travels around the musical map – he first appeared on the guitar-world radar when he joined Frank Zappa’s band in 1977, touring the USA and Europe. His signature tones and influences are all over Zappa’s movie “Baby Snakes” as well as his biggest-selling album “Sheik Yerbouti.” His musical use of effects and whammy bar remains unique, and his techniques continue to be a huge influence on scores of guitarists.

From the late 70s to today, Belew has been on a wild ride through countless tours and albums with David Bowie, Talking Heads, Paul Simon, and Nine Inch Nails, with whom he has appeared on three CDs, including the new, runaway-hit “Ghosts I-IV”. Since the early 80s, Adrian has released over 20 albums, both solo and with The Bears, and for the same 27, plus years he has been the lyricist, voice and co-guitarist (with Robert Fripp) of progressive rock legends King Crimson. In between touring, writing, recording and receiving a plethora of guitar magazine awards, Belew has always found time for producing other artists and releasing his own songs and sonic experiments.

Local acoustic band JaJu, the new duo featuring former Hello Mahalo guitarist Jared Pizzaro and vocalist and bassist Justin Joyce, will open the show.
