i don't know anything about their music, but i do remember laughing my balls off reading an interview with them in "Grimoire" where they spoke about a show where they opened for Morbid Angel, and Trey flipped out on them for getting pigs blood on his cabinet.

i was amused by the story, but then i got annoyed by these black metal douchebags calling Morbid Angel "sellout pussies" because they didn't want animal blood on their equiptment

"Oculus Infernum" is a good place to start. Their stuff is a bit too trigger-y, but otherwise I'm pretty into it. Great riffs, vicious vocals.

And apparently I saw "Judas Iscariot" and read "Kult ov Azazel." So, yeah, listen to that instead, I guess. MINUS A THOUSAND BLACK METAL POINTS

I like the idea of Judas Iscariot, but I hate the reality: droning black metal that's essentially really boring and interchangeable with ten thousand other bands.

The exception is "Dethroned, Conquered and Forgotten," which is more like Sarcophagus, whatshisname's previous band. Sarcophagus is death metal with melodic underpinnings and is quite good.

Troo dat. I have a demo tape from them that's fucking killer.

My favorite Judas Iscariot album is Of Great Eternity. They Dying Light and Distant in Solitary Night are good too. I used to listen to those albums alot but haven't in years.

The first Sarcophagus is awesome. It is total death metal and there is even a grind song on it. Dude also used to do a noisecore/weirdo band called Jesus Fucking Christ.

HEAVEN IN FLAMES = thier best.

Actually, it's probably easier to be grim if you have inside information as to how epically this civilization fails.

Dethroned, Conquored and Forgotten is definately my favorite release. Moonlight Butchery is very good as well. Sarcophagus is quality as well.

To Orgymaggotfeast: That interview in Grimoire about the pigs blood was actually with Thy Infernal... They got blood on Morbid Angels Rig and got yelled at!

Anyways, The Cold Earth Slept below is actually an excellent listen.
