I have a demo of my old band from 1998 and would like to transfer it from my tape to cd or digital etc... I have the original reel but the guitarist left in a barn and is has corroded and I dont think it is worth restoring? Any suggestions. Thanks.

Easiest way is to just take a four track or any old tape cassette player and line it into your computer and record it with some free audio software like Audacity or something.
Press play on the tape player and record on the computer...it'll record in real time so you have to let the tape play in it's entirety to get all the material.
one inch or two inch reel?. there must be a place in Boston that does transfers

yeah but the 1 inch real is very corroded and it even has shit on it that would probably cost a good penny to restore... thus a waste of time if none of it was usable. Thanks for the advice!!!
