New site? Maybe some day.

wow
Most people stop after Sabbath Bloody Sabbath when they talk about Ozzy-era Sab's Classic albums... for me, my favorite album was always Sabotage. In fact it's one of my 'all time top ten' albums ever.
So I'm with ya! 'Side one' is the best, most perfect side one EVER
Side two is all killer too, from the "Smoke it! Get High!" in 'The Thrill of it All' to the killer closer 'The Writ'. Ozzy never sang those high notes ever again.
Goddamn indeed

I think Sabotage is the most flawed album of Black Sabbath's golden period (first 6 albums), maybe even the only flawed one. I feel like it would have been stronger without the last 3 tracks. |

While The Thrill of it All is a great fucking song, that "smoke it" line is from Killing Yourself to Live from the previous album.

FUUUUUUUUUCK yeppers
great album, probably one of their darkest |

*couldnt've put it better myself |

Hole In The Sky and The Writ are two of the best songs ever written. ZJD, what do you feel is flawed about Sabotage? Personally I think it's one of the few Sabbath records that flows naturally all the way through. |
|
amazing album....i love all Ozzy-era Sabbath.
oddly enough, i also love the one album the recorded with Ian from Deep Purple (Born Again)

I don't know man...I think those songs are sweet. To each his own though. |
|
I have a hard time choosing Sabbath albums, to tell the truth. SBS is weaker than the other (good) Ozzy-period ones, I feel, but besides that it's a pretty level playing field. |
|
isnt sbs just a comilation of other songs, and not a true album though |

Eh, I don't think think they are terrible songs, I just think they stand out as less worthy than the rest. I consider Black Sabbath to be my favorite band ever by the way, I'm not hating. |
|
I LOVE ALL BLACK SABBATH ... until they split up and joined Dio |
|
I'm a big fan of the WRIT...criminally under rated song
But my fav Sab record is MASTER OF REALITY...to me this embodies everything Sabbath was about |

then you don't love all black sabbath. Heaven and Hell and The Mob Rules are at least good albums, are you including Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die when you say 'ALL'? |
|
yes "ALL BLACK SABBATH " = all with Ozzy ... H&H and Mob Rules are good Dio albums |
|
Mark remember riding back from NYC at dawn, listening to Sabotage in CT? <3 |
|
Brings a tear to my eye, Jawshy. I also remember our Maiden singalong while everyone else was passed out drunk, haha. |
|
Side One is perfect.
Megalomania is one very under rated song |
|
Is written in your eyes.
Yeaaahhhhh. |
