Based out of Hamden, CT Academy Printwear is a talented team of twentysomethings that handles everything from graphic design and merchandise printing to web store design, management, and fulfillment. 


Whether you’re in a band, you work for a company or school, or you just need help facilitating your great new merchandising idea, we’re your team. After all, we started doing this because we couldn’t find a company that could satisfy our needs. 


We also make an effort to operate every production process possible, from film output to all cleaning products used, in the most environmental friendly ways available. By using newer inkjet printers to print transparencies, rather than processed photographic film, we remove the need for chemicals during this initial step. We also use enviro-friendly ink cleaner and emulsion remover, that are derived from soy and other natural enzymes.

Unlike most street teams, you have the opportunity to make some money/cashola/dollarinis/C.R.E.A.M. for your efforts. We can also offer internship credit for those interested in Business/Marketing/Graphic Design, BUT IT DEPENDS ON HOW BAD YOU WANT IT!… and if everything can flow right with your college/university. As you can see, there are various ways of receiving credit, “mad props”, for your efforts.


Responsibilities of AP Street Team members include:
- Handing out promotional items to stores, businesses, bands, concert/show attendees, etc… and doing so on a regular basis. Spreading the word.
- Promoting on websites and messageboards.
- The goal is to bring in clients. Bands/Businesses/Customers that will purchase apparel with graphic to be printed on and/or graphic design work created.
- You will be expected to document and report your efforts in some way by either taking pics and emailing them, emailing just to say “hey i put flyers up at such n such place located at address, city, state”, emailing links of the messageboard posts, etc…

Benefits of being an AP Street Team member:
- You will receive a 5% commission for the business that you bring in, this percentage may increase depending on review of progress. (For Example; client purchases $500 worth of printed apparel, you will receive $25 from that order once it is complete).
- Possible free article of clothing from our very own Academy Printwear Clothing Line. Limited Edition Academy Printwear Street Team apparel!
- If you are in a band, or business, you can use your commission as credit to go towards an order of your own.
- Depending on the level you are able to commit to, you may be able to receive college credit. Possible internship opportunity.
