been noticing a lot of nerds spoutin off about originality in metal...what a bunch of shit...

i think stevo from Impetigo said it best....

why do you think there was such a lull in the metal scene in the mid 90's?
because most of it sucked and everyone was playing the same thing as everyone else.......one can only listen to the same thing so many times.
and go ahead and say "who cares"
if the scene didnt come back . alot of the present day bands would not have been signed if it didnt make a comeback and thus no recognition which in turn meant no good shows.....well there was always "the local scene"

there has never been any "lull" in metal....you're just too much of a fucking moron to know that. the scene never "came back"...it's always been there.

haha, apparently! however you look at it, nothing is going to be completely original. all those bands you listed take something cool and put their own twist on it. fintroll builds upon folk, and emperor took varg's vision of black metal and made it their's. until you can't possibly categorize something, its not original!
