I'm not a fan of this show at all. They learn techniques in 3 days and try fighting with them, and it's in very poor taste of the styles. It's going to lead to increasing popularity of smaller martial arts and they will end up coming to the states and producing a shitty half-assed form of aerobics
Just like what happened with taekwondo and kenpo.
You can be shown a tong bei kick, but without practicing it every day for 20 years, it's never going to put a bruise on someone.
All they are doing is teaching a bunch of skinny white 16 year olds how to do things that are going to get them beat up. You can't sit down and watch a half hour special on kempo and apply what you learned to beat up a toaster, no less a human being.
sorry, niccolai, I didn't know you were skilled in the martial arts.
All those italian martial arts that is.. like pasta primavera and the spicy meatball
I love Human Weapon. Yeah it makes a part of me want to get up and go around pretending I know jujitsu. But really it makes me want to learn more about this stuff. Learning the history, and progression, and training techniques of these fighting styles are what's fascinating to me about the show. I've seriously considered taking up muay thai after watching that episode.
or at least ordering pad thai.

I have been beyond dissapointed with this series. I was excited before it came out seeing all the ads and whatnot but it turned out to be pretty lame in my opinion.
