Fay first fell in love with the process of recording music during his high school days while attempting to capture the sounds with his father’s Tascam four-track. Later, as he mixed, Fay noticed a guitar intro was far too loud, flubbing what should have been a more powerful bridge when the second guitar kicked in. It was then that he discovered the fader switch.
