I would say the Focusite is slightly more "colored" than the presonus. The focusrite has a bunch of options(comp,mid scoop, VU meters,heaphone mix, lots on in/out).

Live sound or guitar rig? It can be used for either, I used to use a 3630(comp &gate) between my axe and amp. I have 2 comp/gate for sale:

Handinjury how did you hook that Sonic Maximizer up to a head? We blew the power in a Peavey Supreme and a MesaBoogie Tripple Rectifer while having this plugged in.

You blew up the heads?? Or the electrical circut? Thats a bit strange. Either between the guitar and amp or in the effects loop. The sonic maximizer is basically a 2band EQ so naturally it would go in the effects loop. But I allways ran it between the guitar and amp. I know Fishcakes(GOREALITY) uses one the same way.

Yep, blew up a Peavey Supreme and a Mesa Boogie Tripple Rectifier. As in both no longer could receive power. Both were ran through the effects loops. We tried selling it to someone but now he wants his money back because there's a crackling noise coming out of his bass cab because of it. Can we get a refund on this?
