THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD confirm new vocalist
South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have confirmed the addition of
vocalist Nate Johnson (Premonitions of War) to the band's ranks following
the departure of former vocalist Anthony Gunnells. Johnson will enter Mana
Studios with producer Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel) April 23 to
wrap up vocal recordings for the upcoming album 'Malice,' the follow-up to
2005's full-length debut, 'Bloodlust.' Tracklist information and artwork
will be available shortly, while 'Malice' is currently eyeing a late summer
release through Prosthetic Records.

"We are extremely happy to have Nate on board with us as the new vocalist
and front man for TTEOTD," said guitarist Justin Longshore. "There's no
doubt in my mind that Nate will deliver on 'Malice' as well as on tour. We'd
like to thank everyone for their submissions that they sent us. There are
some really killer vocalists out there and it was definitely a tough
decision. Thanks to all of the fans for all of the support in this
situation."

Garnering praise and commercial success alongside slots on tours with
Unearth, Children of Bodom, Sounds of The Underground 2006 and a
highly-successful headlining tour last winter, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD
will then depart for a European tour alongside Dead To Fall and Ion
Dissonance in early May, meeting up with Dying Fetus and Skinless a few
times along the way upon completion of recording 'Malice.'

Nate will be stepping down from bass duties for the_Network. Tonight with the red chord and psyopus in NH will be one of the last shows (if not the last show) that will be played with Nate behind the bass....come out and give Nate the farwell he deserves!!!

he played me a song he put vocals on to try out for the band and it was pretty much the heaviest thing i've ever heard them do...they would have been foolish not to take him
