I'd have to agree with this study's findings, its pretty obvious. My best friend and I agreed long ago that we learned how to drive from Gran Torismo.

After playing San Andreas i tend to do neighborhood drive-by's and go on long distance police chases before going on daily errands. i guess i should wait a half hour after playing.

I mean, obviously you're not going to throw your sense of right and wrong right out the window because of a video game. But haven't you ever played a video game with driving for a while and then been driving somewhere and been more confident in your ability to snake your way throught traffic?

yes.. or your ability to crash through things and go up embankments.

I disagree with this article.

However, I once did scare myself by playing half-life for about 4 hours straight once, then quickly went outside to jump in the car. Upon crossing my lawn, I heard a helicopter above me. My first reaction was to quickly take out my RPG and shoot it down.

haha, i definitely get these weird thoughts in my head while driving after playing burnout 3 or grand theft auto. i haven't played either game in close to a month now, and i've noticed that i don't feel like taking everyone out on the roads as quickly as before.

I've often wished that Kelly Square in Worcester at 5pm on a Friday was a level in Burn Out 3. Oh how merry that would be.

Would explain some things. My older bro used to be obsessed with racing games and he's a horrible driver.

Yeah the other day I had a heady session of Chrono Trigger and the first thing I did after starting my car was travel back to 12,000 BC then I crashed into a giant black floating fortress and had to fight all these mean ass monster niggas.

i dont buy it. i play tons of racing games and everyone i drive with yells at me because i drive the speed limit, dont do anything daring, and stop at stop signs. i do get thoughts of what it would be like to do things like that, but thats where the amazing ability to differentiate between reality and fantasy comes in to play.
