New site? Maybe some day.
yea, its a Tuesday big whoop wanna fight about it
for some reason i thought Face Full of Shotgun was on this. |
unless they are on the flyer, it isnt popping up. |
yes they are on this show
hey moe did you know that WOOS was nominated for "best metal act" in the wormtown sound awards? |
what? hahaha, no
we havent played a show since july |
weird
you're up against:
skulltoboggan(who aren't "metal" but will win)
kultur(are the most metal band in the list and will come close to winning)
standard deviation(my sister's ex-band that is NOT metal whatsoever)
frozen(who i wasn't even aware played out around here that much)
these people really know what they're talking about |
(sic)
SOOOO, who's comin? |
i dont know, but my guess is $8-10 |
BUMP
i'll try and find an ice bell to use for this show |
hopefully the new guy in misery signals doesn't ruin "the summer that ended in june" |
i just hope they play SOMETHING from that first EP
Lie Captive or Like Yesterday |
xanonymousx said: hopefully the new guy in misery signals doesn't ruin "the summer that ended in june" |
the music on the old stuff is better, but Jesse talked to much for my taste. And his lyrics were sub-par and sophomoric, so the new guy and new direction is something I'm happy with. The new guy seems to have little range in his screams, but his cleans are ok and his parts are sweet. |
i dont think either of their singers had ANY range at all
mostly mids
and the new guys lyrics are just cheese if not more than Jesse |
this show will rule. the human abstract got 100000000x better. |
I'm not sure... when ever I'm around you, you act like you are a hobby rockstar. |
sometimes i wish i wasnt such a dick to everyone at shows, but i just CAN'T help it
i'm just SOO much better than everyone |
honestly, i dont know how you could afford me in RK |

you're telling me, how about that RK reunion. |
i charge extra for reunions |
so i've heard, read, and saw. |
if i've said it once, i've said it a thousand times...none of us are opposed to a reunion we just dont have the time to...ESPECIALLY me |
blah blah blah
less excuses more jams please, thank you.
next song. |

*clicks sticks 4 times in rhythm*

Once my tax return comes in, my mouf is gonna be chock full of ice...ya heard
I hope the human abstract sounds better than they did last time i saw them

will i be pinching rev's ass tonight? |
Anyone from RI going to this and need a ride?
Get to me before 6, cause thats when im outski |
i'm headin out now
see all of you there!
*smooches* |
does anyone know what time the first band starts? |
i have a feeling that it would be right after doors, not an hour after doors like most shows, as this place usually has to be done wicked early(like 10-1030ish) |
doors are at 7pm.
sac, you want to lickadicki? |
yeah...but i don't know what time the music starts |
tactor trailer accident on 290. it was awesome looking. |
dick!
it's too funny to change, though
heading down there now |
awesome show so far. MS setting up. |
WOOS and Misery Signals were fantastic
WOOS = super heavy and super rockin (new stuff sounds excellent)
Misery Signals = Unbelievably tight for the polyrhythmic things they do, and what a unique sense of harmony they employ...their drummer is the epitome of tasteful
cool show, not that many people, lots of retarded kids, saw some of them gittin' stoopid |
murph, when you said that your name was ryan to mrs. moe.. I was like "who!?" |
haha!, this picture made me laugh. so sad i missed this show. i went with my family to the PC friars basketball game. GO FRIARS! haha. hopefully ill get to see woos again soon.
hahaha, fuckin murph...i really have no need for a first name
mrs moe seems very nice, good job moe, "high-five"
that church was sweet, but next time rev, i gotta check out that acrylic altar
maghan (it's got some weird spelling with like 13 H's) is cool. I don't see her that often and when her and carina see each other, they just bump b00bs together like they are playing bumper cars, but with their b00bs. |
I see a different wonder of life
my girl has no boobs but an absolutely dominating ass
an ass that will take over the world, starting with small family restaurants
so when at a bar, and she dances amongst the ladies, its like a "whose ass will win" contest, where her ass takes all |
wow.. I've never heard you talk so openly about bdc |
so i didn't go to this show or arsis, but still ended up in worcester. strip clubs are better than shows anyway. |
WOW!!! How did I miss this thread? I would have definitly been to this show. Looks like a fun time. How many people actually showed up? |
wow
this has to be the funnest show i've played in a very long time
the turnout was excellent, the bands were excellet, no bullshit fights...ust a good time
Murph, why didnt you tap me on the butt, i was on th lookout for ya but not wearing my glasses. Meghann said she talked to you for a while and that you're very funny. |

pssht, I don't interrupt rockstars in their element, yo.
Can anyone answer me a question. Did you guys see that little little dude at the show. He's got blond hair I think and a terrible complexion. I've seen him at so many shows, and he's the smallest dude, but he's always in the front, right in the warzone, just doin his thing.
He's like bong boy, always present when disaster strikes. |

and rev, me and b dc are not an item. He and cav have had a secret thing going since '99. Cat's outta the bag. |
are you talking about little james? (the dude that took a guitar to the face at FASSW during metalfest) |
Murph, if that was little James, he used to go to a bunch of our shows, actually still does. Jake talks to him, which is funny because of Jake's ironic fear of the smallfolk.
Moe, I'm really sorry I couldn't go. Slowcooker broke and I had to scramble to finish cooking with a new shittier method. Gayest reason to miss show ever.
the_reverend said: are you talking about little james? (the dude that took a guitar to the face at FASSW during metalfest) |
must be him. that kid is pretty fearless.
i forgot that jake is deathly afraid of midgets. thats funny. |
this show was by far the awesomest i've been to in a while, just because no one was gettin into testosterone-fueled brawls and crap. that shit is so annoying. also it was nice to meet "ryan" hahhah (murph) *btw, my name is meghann, but if you want, i'll let you call me mrs. m0e just cuz no one has ever called me that before, but i generally dislike being referred to as someone's significant other*... anyways, props to the new WOOS stringsd00d, rob (i think??) and also the whole WOOS gang for rockin'. oh yeah and nate's van is cool, ladies, don't fear the johnson haha. also, misery signals is TITE live ;) *hi rev!* tell carina's b00bs i said hi! |
what is your name good sir knight?
Sir Gallahad, the Chaste.
mine is Zute, just Zute. |
you know it! |
Yea the show was great last night! Definitely as good as a first show with WOOS as I could as for. All the other bands were great as well. Misery Signals really surprised me. Thanks to all that came out , it was a great time.

this show left me in a such a great mood
my ankle hurts like hell, but i'm feelin great |
they really spiffed that place up, huh? i like the lights on the sides of the room instead of the overhead bland lighting
the huge banner and tons of gear didn't hurt the atmosphere either |
well, all the bands except for the opener had their own light setup so yea, hell we even had a fog machine |
i meant just the basic lighting stuff they had done...there were some hardwired on each wall facing the stage which was more than enough for a place like that
did they switch booking agents or something? i feel as if i had heard that they got a new guy who does everything there |
isn't the tour package on tour with all that remains?
so i guess misery signals is still good with or without jessie? |
This dude Joe with Grand Unified does the shows there now. He's legit and professional. He does all the bigger shows there now.
And yea , all the lighting stuff was done by all the bands themselves. |
all that remains wasnt ont hat date and the new guy was ok...not bad, good stage presence...i felt the some of the songs off mirrors were kinda out of place in a live setting, simply because they're not as high energy as the older stuff
THEY WONT PLAY ANYTHING OFF THE EP, i was upset about that |
oh yea, where's the rev reviews?? |

no more echo's or lie captive shits wack! |
During Misery Signals, some kid bit straight through his lip and trailed blood down the stairwell. I think he lost a lot of blood judging by all the blood soaked paper towels in the men's room. Another thing I saw was some kid who was super excited while MS was setting up. Two songs into their set I turn around and he has a traumatized look on his face while holding his bloody nose. Poor guy. |
i love randomly looking through a few of Aaron's pics for some band and finding shots like these:
haha holy shit i didnt realize someone else had already posted a different hilarious pic of the same dude. dude's got some flappin cheeks |

this past summer misery signals played in my friends basement when the lido show got canceled and they played a few off the ep. best time i ever saw them.
this show was awesome for the pure fact that I saw soooo many people I never see. I need to get out to worcester 9and to shows like this) more often. it was awesome meeting Joe (GUP) and seeing Shawn running security. Seeing Nate, Nate, and Nate on stage again was awesome. |
thanks for comin out, rev
ah love ya, always have |
I noticed that all of your myspaces have my pictures on them (except Nate. well, nate does and so does nate, but nate doesnt). |
kinda wishing i went to this. but alas, broke broke. |
you missed a hell of a show |
all the scenester fruitcakes just stared in disapproval while Face Full of Shotgun played. it was pretty sad. |
i didnt mind them...they had a sweet old school DM obituary-ness to their sound...but they were out of place on this bill unfortunately |
Yeti said: all the scenester fruitcakes just stared in disapproval while Face Full of Shotgun played. it was pretty sad. |
I was there, and I thought they were sweet.
But, since my usual standing posture dictates I cross my arms and slant my stance, and I'm outfitted in tight jeans and "scenester" look, one might think I disapproved.
Much to the contrary, they were good, I'm just a jackass. |
proving the jackass comment? |
proving and posting the jackass comment.
I definitely would be a scenester fruitcake, even though I'm a fruitcake cause I'm a huge raging H-mo. |
yeah you are.
face full of shotgun: I was surprised that they were on the bill. since they are not only heavy, but also technical, ths place's shape is the worse for them. The high ceiling just muddled out the techy parts and all the blast beats over lapped. still, it was cool to see them. But they sounded better in ralphs.
war on our shores: awesome seeing the dudes from THH together again. The bands not bad either. Nate's vocie boomed pretty loud in that place. I kept blowing out his skin in the shots too. The lights from the stage blinded the crap out of me. When they said turn all the house lights out, I knew their set was going to be trouble.
human abstract, the: not quite as good as the last time I saw them, but pretty close. The level of playing skillz is push to the front of every part of their songs. Not many people dancing or anything, but a lot of people standing there being wicked impressed.
misery signals: the new guy was different and all, but sang most of the full length perfectly. People were piling up in the front of the stage during most of their songs. I started the show in the front, right there in the mix of things, but slid to the side of the stage when the stage divers started. I looked to my side and saw matt (ex-byd) pop up on the top of the crowd. I also think that he jumped off the top of the PA too. |
more big shows need to go through that place...it's built perfectly for it(besides the ceilings which don't facilitate good sound)
i suppose they could hang sound-proofing or something but that might detract from the unique vibe it has |
i think with a decent enough PA that place can sound good...case in point that night...i heard that was the sound guy from the palladium upstairs |
