does anyone else miss metalcore when it was good? before it became hardcore kids trying to be at the gates with breakdowns?

Lately, i've been listening to what was metalcore then and i miss it greatly. what happened to bands like disembodied, vision of disorder, apthemy, walls of jericho, etc?

I miss it. That shit was far more interesting an less generic than what's going on now adays in the genre, at least in my opinion.

yeah, back when you could tell the differences between bands. Now everyone sounds the same.

I couldn't even tell the difference back then.

Yeah. I liked it when I was able to tell the fucking difference.
