everyday hate: the seemed to be out of synch for their whole set. I guess they haven't practiced for a long time. One of the guitarists kept yelling "fuck" at mistakes and the other one looked confused. Their set was over really quickly. 4 songs and it was done.
bateman: quick set as well. They were pretty good too. I don't think I know them. I think they were a little bumped that people didn't really move (especially with the last song), but what can YA do. some two stepping parts. |
downhill fast: jimmy flynn sent out the whole set to me. awe.. and it was his birthday too. This is the first time I caught their full set. The mic's been on overdrive today. It sounded like the vocals were going through a megaphone. There was no stage diving™ but a hat was lost (and presumed sold on ebay).
while cut throat was setting up, the singer of the ducky boys, mark lind, played acustic songs. I went down, he played an original, then a ducky boys song and was playing tom petty when I went back to my bag. |
cut throat: you could tell that CT was about to go on since xmikex was in the from streching out. Or at least I thought that was the key, but they everyone went down to see mark lind's set. Finally, after some waiting, everyone got back up stairs and they could start. This was the first band with lots of movement. As soon as they started, people started. For most of the set, it was hard to hear the vocals, but they still sang along. Some people were still pumped up from the video shoot. |
rob lind: the new and improved, sober rob played his second ever live acustic set downtairs. Someone said they were sinner & saints songs. It was weird cause it was a full set downstairs in the bar. The was a full crowd around him, but there was also the normal bar action going on. This slice of detroit acustic melencholia was perfect seated in brockton. and brought something like you can see in those bars out there when the autoworks blow off steam after a long day. To some people it's entertainment, to others, it's just the background music to the bar. |
something bad happend outside before COA went on. I don't know what it was.
colin of arabia: even though the crowd knows all of their shtick by now, COA kills. Once they finally got their set going, it was as good as any other set from them. They got to play a couple of extra songs too. I think they were waiting for rob and buddha to come up and play a B4B song, but that didn't happen. Instead, COA played a black flag song. |
