All Covers Night II
It Will End In Pure Horror as Sheer Terror
Hirudinea as Carnivore
Dissector as Impetigo
Kevorkian's Angels as Poison Idea
This is just what people've told me. I'm sure it'll change as time goes on. It'll be good to actually play the show this time around. |
Finally, someone with taste. |
Joe/NotCommon as Carl Weathers |
A raped and tortured black boy as Mrs. Not Common. |

too much awesome |

I ofificially have started the ball rolling on this. The tentative lineup I have so far promises to blow last year's away. Stay tuned! |
Dissector is still on as doing Impetigo. |
The rest of the tentative line-up is fucking CRUSHING! |
Yeah, it's even stronger than last year's imo. Of course last year would've been good if all the bands booked actually played... |
Dave from the grave as Vanilla Ice. |
Dave from the grave as Henry Rollins as Vanilla Ice.
Led Zeppelin as 3rd Bass. |
Shit Fuck as The Misfits? |
We'll see what happens to the bands that asked to be on it so far. If last year's any indication, there'll end up being room. |
What about Cryptic Warning as Death??! |
Yea but you can never have enough Death! |
maybe we can actually do our deadguy/disrupt/spazz set this year and have it on my birthday so i can get drunk at the show instead of the day before. |
Shrapnel's reason for cancelling last year was the best reason any band ever had for cancelling. |
i was still too drunk to play and the whole throwing up thing didnt help either
happy birthday to me, see what happens when you try to live up to jeff heyward |
"It Will End In Pure Horror as Sheer Terror "
when every anyone mentions ST, I mention collegeboy and then they shut up. |
Hey, everyone can't be all top notch. Except for me. |
RichHorror said: Hey, everyone can't be all top notch. Except for me. |
the horror are actually gonna dress up like the madness for this show |
I'm going to cover Carole King songs out in the street outside the venue. Do you seriously think anyone will make it past me without spending the next four hours kicking my ass?
Your covers night will fail! |

It's true. |

I know I won't. |

ROFLCOPTER |
'College Boy' is proof that Allston can turn anyone gay. |
young punks in love is equally as retarded. |
Yeah. We'll definitely be doing the early material ONLY. |
i'll impale you otherwise. |
Not to worry. I love Sheer Terror, but a lot of the later stuff is mind-boggingly bad. |
A lot of those NY bands turned sour. Remember when Killing Time became a rock band? Ugh. |
Play "Just Can't Hate Enough" in its entirety and I'll be happy. |
The latest material we're doing will be 'I, Spoiler', 'Here To Stay' and 'Just Can't Hate Enough'. Everything else will be stuff from the seven inches and cassette-only releases. |
I remember when this guy wouldn't take off his gas station attendant uniform at shows, except to flash the crowd.
Is that the same guy? He lost some weight in the latter half of their career, eh? |

Yeah, and then he found it again. |
Thank heavens. His Elvis impersonation is wheat thin. |

Boston didn't fare much better. The 'How We Rock' album. I rest my case. |
Was that SSD?
Just makes me miss Eye for an Eye and Uppercut even more. |
Yeah, SSD. Gang Green and DYS were similarly bad. And The FUs became the Straw Dogs. Horrendous. At least Jerry's Kids had the good taste to break up. |
I liked the old Gang Green a lot. I never got into DYS. Jerry's Kids were awesome. |
We cover a DYS song in our set. 'Brotherhood' was a really great record. |
Jeez, they don't even put their good songs on there. |
Most of the profiles for defunct bands are like that. |
At least the Kingpin one has the good songs. That band was an inspiration when I was in Alert.
"Holding Tomorrow" i used to love that song so much. |
RichHorror said: Yeah, SSD. Gang Green and DYS were similarly bad. And The FUs became the Straw Dogs. Horrendous. At least Jerry's Kids had the good taste to break up. |
I actually like all the Gang Green stuff, though Another Case of Brewtallity has a lot of flop songs. |
Yeah. All three went way bad metal/rock... but Gang Green fared better than SSD or DYS. |

So you're saying you don't like Another Wasted Night? |
I'm talkign way later... like when I saw them and they were covering Beastie Boys songs. |
the_reverend said:

When ever I mention ST, people think I'm talking about that band with the black guitar player and the Scottish (or Irish) midget with who used to think he was a Chicano gangsta.
Plaid overcoat. Top button only.
RichHorror said: I'm talkign way later... like when I saw them and they were covering Beastie Boys songs. |
Oh, alright. I thought you meant all three albums (meaning Another Wasted Night, Older, Another Case of Brewtality) |
No, I support anything that supports alcohol and cocaine. |
RichHorror said: No, I support anything that supports alcohol and cocaine. |
Then you support all of my friends. |
Worldeater5150: you guys really party HARD up there |
I think that Wayland show basically scarred Gary for life. |
Dissector should play.....
Mortado
Dear uncly creepy
Staph Terrorist
Breakfast at the manchester morgue
Boneyard
Trap them and kill them
Bloody pit of horror
Intense Mortification....
I would be happy with that setlist |

Actually, that release was pure genius. Sheer Terror took a major label's money and put out a piece of shit and made fun of the label's target audience.

Here are the list of songs I want to play. Definitely subject to change seeing as how we haven't discussed it
Scabbyman (duh)
Venereal Warts (duh)
Uncle Creepy
Mortado
Cannibal Lust
Dis-Organ-Ized
Bloody Pit of Horror
My Lai
Jane Fonda Sucks
Staph Terrorist is a possibility but I doubt it. Breakfast in the Manchester Morgue is one of my favorites by them, in fact that's the song I want played at my funeral. But I tihnk it's just too long to learn. Everybody and their mother covers Boneyard, so thats out. And maybe if we have time and everybody else agrees I'd want to do Trap Them In Kill Them because that was the first Impetigo song I ever heard. And Intense Mortification is an awesome song to listen to but it's just so simple it would be incredibly boring to play. |
I think we have 8 songs so far. We still need to learn Here To Stay and Just Can't Hate Enough. Jeff would know the exact songs we have already, all I know is I, Spoiler is one of them. College Boy is not. |

I don't give a fuck about your skinhead pride and I can care less about the lonely side. I'm just a working class man who's tired of getting the short end of the stick...
Wow the rest of that verse just escaped my mind. |
Members of Sexcrement will be joined by none other than Miss Pagan Megan to assemble a Mercyful Fate/King Diamond tribute set. Eat it. |
I am so fucking psyched for that. |
We are too. : )
Thanks Rich! |

I'm going to actually sing .. its going to be awesome |
Cool, I wondered who was gonna sing when Josh asked me about playing it.
So far the bands I know for sure are--
Dissector as Impetigo
It Will End In Pure Horror as Sheer Terror
Sexcrement as King Diamond/Mercyful Fate
I have 2-3 other bands I'm waiting on, but it's shaping up real nice. Hopefully this'll be at O'Briens again, but I haven't heard back from Carl yet. We shall see. |
should be noted that we will be taking a name, possibly Into the Unknown, since Adam will be in Europe and has no soul since he's not into the Kang. We're looking for a 2nd guitarist too. |
Jim Sannicandro will be playing lead guitar. should be awesome, this dude's got all the right moves. |
BornSoVile said: Jim Sannicandro (compost pile). |
hahahahahahahahaha ok now that thats outta the way, when the fuck was he in compost pile.
ok now back to hahahahahahahahahahaha |
i thought he was, dana said something in passing last night about it. what band was it? |
he was in a band with dana, bill currerny and myself for like one show. i do not believe jim meddly medddly medddly meddly sannicandro was EVER apart of Compost Pile.
there's only three people who can clear this up Jay, Bill or Tony. otherwise as far as im concerned he wasnt....id even like to black out the period of time Tony quit and Dana thought he was the singer. ugh !
greatest line up ever
tony - vocals
bill - gtr
ryan - gtr
dana - bass
jay - drums
im an asshole was the short dood with stache and long hair ryan cause i forget his name. haha jim sannicandro hahahahah oh man jawshy gawy you just made my fucking week hahahahah. |
haha yeti and i were discussing a very similar idea the other night where we do type o negative songs |
i think peter steele is tougher to pull off than king diamond, vocal wise. |
yeti can get pretty deep with his vocals and can sing real well in a clean voice as well
he has tons of lung power
i'd be more worried about doing kenny's raspy vocals |
sexcrement has been known to do group singalongs to type o, we have a system. same applies to alice in chains. |
if type o is played i better hear Haunted its the only song i like by them. fuck all |
that by far has the toughest vocal part in it
fuckin gregorian baritone vocals or some shit |
red water is my favorite. i can't lose you is a close 2nd. nettie is perhaps now third. too many good type o songs... |
i can't lose you is probably one of their most underrated songs...you're the first person i've heard say they like that song
nettie is the antithesis of haunted with the ball clenching falsetto he hits in that...peter steele is like mariah carey with his range, except he goes like 3 octaves lower than anyone can...haha |
i have a digi pack verision of bloody kisses, which has a different tracklisting all the other versions. has a mean transition of blood and fire/i can't lose you/summer breeze - i can't lose you, a great song to get high too, i believe there is a subliminal at the end, "everybody smokes pot" |
the Type O set would rule. If you guys do that, let me know, fo' sho'. |
the subliminal is "everybody smokes pot, monty connor sucks cock"
i believe monty connor was the producer or engineer of said cd
and that type o set is a strong possibility, it doesn't take too long to learn their shit so we could easily do it, i think we're waiting until we finish the batch of new songs we have in the works and then seeing what happens with the type o songs...we'd like to have it done for halloween, for that would be perfect timing |
We changed our mind. We're doing a set of all Negative Approach songs. Because we can. |
Hirudinea is on this now, playing all of your holiday favorites. |
This will definitely be at O'Briens, and either on the 29th or the 30th. |
