New site? Maybe some day.
can you reccomend me some good bands from hispanic countries?
preferably ones that have lyrics in spanish, and ones that are metal, although I'll take anything. its for a spanish class project that i'm doing on non-mainstream hispanic-born musical artists. |
um.. in spanish.. ask bornsovile. |
Brujeria would be the obvious choice. Not all of them are Hispanic but their vocals are. Other than that...I can't think of too many Hispanic bands....plenty of Spanish bands, though. |

I would've jumped for Brujeria first thing, but they are from los angeles. even if they lived in mexico before, they live in los angeles now so i wont be able to use them as an example. |

only one I can think of at the moment is Dismal Divinity from Puerto Rico
but just go on Metal Archives and you can have hundreds to choose from |

Impiety are all Mexicans now, didn't we learn that from the thread about Malaysian bands like a month ago? |
Do the Brazilian bands count as Hispanic considering they speak Portugese? |
portugese is different than spanish. a lot of spanish speaking people can understand portugese to an extent, but i wouldn't count it at all |
blahblahblahallofyou
los lobos |
If they were from Brazil, they'd be Portuguese, not Hispanic?!? |
was no one said Wormed?
though their lyrics are english I'm pretty sure they have some sort of hispanicness to them. |
other than the ones listed, en espanol, Terrorist de Argentina es bueno. |

yep and brazilian portugese compared to normal portugese is different, it's like england to american english. |
I thought it was terrorista? meh thats probably why I couldn't find anything about them last night hah. |

way different than that. I dated a brazilian-born girl for a while. The language was crazy. The grammar they use is all over the place compared to portugal-portuguese. |
i like portugese more, it's more straight forward, instead of using some of those rules that make spanish difficult for me. |
Cenotpah now is from Turkey.
I got some hispanic metal/hardcore bands I can dig up from my myspace page, if that helps. |
