Earth, 27 (i like them, plus i have a weird crush on the singer), and Tides for only $10. sounds like a bargain to me.

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Oct 18,2005 6:44pm
Don't forget about Pelt! If you haven't heard them, clips from the new album here: http://www.vhfrecords.com/catalog/90.htm

toggletoggle post by shrapnel ! at Oct 18,2005 7:53pm
next to the middle east

toggletoggle post by shrapnel ! at Oct 27,2005 3:57am
any more information on the SUNN0))) show

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Oct 27,2005 10:47am
All we know at the moment is that it is going to be at the Middle East Upstairs (possibly downstairs if it sells out), and they are bringing an as yet unchosen black metal act with them as main support.

toggletoggle post by shrapnel ! at Oct 27,2005 12:11pm
nice, hopefully they'll be bringing back Twilight

I hope I don't have to work this night, I definately want to check this show out. Plus, I've never been to TT the bears before, so it should be quite exciting.

toggletoggle post by anon at Nov 12,2005 1:30pm
Don't be sorry, I'm 20 so 18+ is a huge relief.

I liked Earth better when they were Black Sabbath.

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Nov 17,2005 9:41am
I've always wondered if Dylan named Earth in tribute. I suppose it's in an interview somewhere.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 17,2005 10:01am
Shawnie Brando has informed me that he is going to place one shotgun shell on stage when Earth is playing.

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Nov 17,2005 10:33am
Nice! We'll make sure some Nirvana is playing while they are setting up.

toggletoggle post by YOB--BOY at Nov 19,2005 10:13pm
I hope I can make this show, hah I may or may not have a job interview on Monday. I REALLY wanna see these bands...

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Nov 21,2005 10:12am
Tonight! Thanks in advance to anyone who makes it out, hope you have a great time. For being up here for a couple of years, I still haven't met anyone from here except Joe, so stop by and say hello. I'll be the cool kid in a WZBC shirt.

toggletoggle post by whiskey_weed_and_women  at Nov 21,2005 5:26pm

Earth is legendary.

toggletoggle post by tedonegoodfuck  at Nov 21,2005 6:26pm
I pray to christ Sunn0))) bring a big bag of Leviathan with them.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 21,2005 6:35pm
I am definately fucking going, even if the rest of you are pussies.

toggletoggle post by Fuck Weedeater at Nov 21,2005 6:37pm
They're bringing a hefty bag of Malefic and Nachtmystium over, which seems pretty damn good to me.

toggletoggle post by davefromthegrave  at Nov 21,2005 10:56pm
I HATE MY MOTHERFUCKING JOB

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 22,2005 10:09am
Tides was cool, I think they could use another guitar player to thicken out their sound in the parts that kick in, and also to create more of an atmospheric sound at the other parts.

27 was really good, I had heard their name before because they were on Relapse, but I never listened to them. I hope to catch them again sometime.

Pelt was kind of annoying, thank god they only played for like 20 minutes. It just sounded like a series of noises being played together.

I only stayed for not even half of Earth, they were good but my brother didn't like it and I was becoming delirious from lack of sleep so we split.

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Nov 22,2005 10:34am
Thanks for making it Joe! Tides has been looking for a second guitarist, and I agree that it would definitely help thicken their sound and take them to the next level. That was the best I've ever seen them, so that was cool. 27 played a bunch of new songs that sounded awesome and the older stuff was great as usual. Pelt is an acquired taste, but anything that involves Jack Rose and a guitar sounds good to me. It was cool of them to play a short set so that Earth could get a set in before the "curfew" and the gongs were fucking brutal. Being extremely tired by the time Earth got on just heightened the experience for me. I was supposed to be filming (I should have some clips up on the website after the holiday), but spent most of the time rocking back and forth against a door jam in the back, so we'll see how the tape turned out. Thanks again to everyone who came out, don't forget about Sunn O))) (yes, with Malefic on vocals) and a couple bigger events in the spring.

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Nov 22,2005 10:38am
Good show Drew, Sunn should be a great time (and if you have any extra room think sin of angels)

toggletoggle post by VoidExpression  at Nov 22,2005 10:51am
I wish I could put another local on the Sunn O))) show, but they are very strict about only having two openers. I might be doing a Thrones show in April, so if that pans out it's all Sin of Angels if they want it!
