... what bands locally would you consider an "opener" meaning someone who would play 1st or 2nd. I am just curious cause I am lining up some stuff and want to get some opinions on this....
even though people are gonna get riled up cause someone calls them an opener, but I'm sorry.... I need the info so....?? |

Depending on what it is, we are not above opening. |

It really depends on who's headlining. less accomplished bands go before the headliner. Start from high and go down to low. Terminally Your Aborted Ghost is a headlining band but the red chord, for example, would headline over us, so you start from the bigger band and work your way down.
I don't think it makes any sence to aproach smaller bands about opening and working your way up. |

Shows should be set up by the promoter so that the number of people in the room is maximized throughout the night. The bands with the least draw should play first and the most draw should headline. |

I don't really care if my band opens or headlines, but I'm tyhinking that if I put our name up, you'll consider us when booking opening bands and get us on bills, so I'm going to go ahead and say
Terminally Your Aborted Ghost. |

it's a tentative show right now, I have a date and am witing for final confirmation on the headliner... I got some of the dates that Jess used to book at Dee Dee's so I wanna make the first one go off well so I can book more there and make this a monthly series of shows... once I get all the info I will obviously announce the show but I just wanted to get opinions for now to kinda get my head straight about some shit... |

yeah, they blow. especially with that Mouth on Steven. remember when Aerosmith opened for Cannibal Corpse in '94? Shit Barnes wouldn't go on stage because he was so baked he thought Steven Tyler was going to pull his band name on him. Steven Tyler just ended up sucking the inside of Chris barnes anus.
