New site? Maybe some day.

i picked up Belphegor's "Goatreich-Fleshcult". i thoroughly enjoy it. its typical run of the mill blistering black metal, but its not poorly produced and the vocals are good. i recommend it. |

in soviet russia, black metal cd buys you |
Most of this band's CDs are quite good. You might want to check out 'Blutsabbath', 'Necrodaemon Terrorsathan', and 'Lucifer Incestus', I think they are all just as good as 'Goatreich Fleshcult'. |

Flesh cult's that worship goats? |

I wouldn't call belphegor "typical run of the mill... black metal"
They're more black death with varying ratios of black to death from album to album
I saw that CD in Newbury's 20 mins. ago, I was tempted, but I'm saving up for the new AE tomorrow |

Excellent.
That is a good CD though...Belphegor are killer. |
In addition to black and death they have quite a bit of grind elements on some of their earlier records, maybe moreso than on that new one.
Really good stuff. |
yeah not really run of the mill stuff, perhaps one of the very few black metal bands in existence that have guttural vokills. my gem of the week is Nokturnal Mortum - Goat Horns, found it in Montreal from Galy Records. |
Nokturnal Mortum rules... that's one of their more symphonic style releases, but check out the raw and rocking 'Nechrist' and the masterpiece 'To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire', which is fucking unbelievably grim but still incorporates great folk influences. |
Galy's a great label. I really like Unquintessence, though I think they broke up. |
