|
it's 10:37. if i left my house right now i could get thee by 10:39. but instead im gonna goto sleep and rest up for the hardcore superbowl in brooklyn tomorrow.
yup. |
|
mother fucker shipwreck was playing I didnt know. JD good luck bro!! |
|
the show started late i think. i missed shipwreck.
never look back: black my heart called...
charge: weird. i really liked it though. lots of energy. i'd go as far as to call it rastafariancore, i wish i bought a cd...didn't have enough money though.
righteous jams: awesome. there was something slightly off with the sound and i couldnt hear a few guitar parts i wanted too. they're always a good time regardless.
wrongside: sounded much better than last time. i think last time (last death threat show) there was something wrong with the mic, this time you could hear the vocals perfectly. they didn't cover any metal, but i stand by my belief that they are the best kept secret in hardcore.
mental: i'm not a huge mental fan, but they have lots of energy and put on a good show. the singer seems like a really nice guy, and i still can't get over the fact that the drummer drums in rj, wrongside, stand accused and sings in his own band.
it was a successful show, not a huge showing, but there were enough people there. and there were no fights (that i'm aware of). didnt hurt that obw and bury your fucking dead were playing in the cape the same night. |
|
I got there right as the show ended...
*sigh*
everyone seemed to have had a good time so I chatted with some people and headed back to NH.
I got lost trying to get from quincy to brockton twice.
and on the way home, stupid McDonalds didn't have Mc Fluffies.. I was so pissed! |

NLB was a band while half of black my heart were still mods. They used to be called Suture, as in the band that booked hardcore shows at Monk Street, helped out touring bands, and help keep hardcore in the south shore during a time when nobody wanted to go see a hardcore show unless it was 18 Visions downstairs at the palladium. And that's more than can be said for the afforementioned popular signed band.
