Under doctor's recommendation, SLAYER has had to cancel four dates on its
U.S. Jagermeister Music Tour. The cancelled dates are the tour's kick-off,
Friday, October 29 in Springfield, MO, Saturday, October 30 in Des Moines,
IA, Tuesday, November 9 in Belle Vernon (Pittsburgh), PA, and Friday,
November 26 in Tampa, FL.

Having just completed co-headlining the 20-date, sold-out "Unholy Alliance"
European tour with Slipknot, Slayer's vocalist/bassist Tom Araya was taken
to the hospital last Wednesday in Holland immediately following the band's
performance. The doctors there diagnosed Araya with vocal fatigue, and
directed that he completely rest his voice - no singing, no talking - for at
least a week. In addition, the doctors cautioned Araya to not sing more
than four consecutive nights, or he could risk doing irreparable damage to
his vocal cords. Hence, the cancellation of the Belle Vernon and Tampa
dates.

Araya and his Slayer bandmates - Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman/guitars and
drummer Dave Lombardo - are confident that staying true to the schedule of
no more than four consecutive shows will eliminate the possibility of any
other dates being cancelled on the Jagermeister tour.

The Slayer-headlined Jagermeister Music Tour will now kick off on Halloween,
Sunday, October 31 in St. Louis at The Pageant (Mastadon and Killswitch
Engage support). The updated Slayer/Jagermeister tour is as follows:

SLAYER ANNOUNCES "WALL OF BLOOD" CITIES

SLAYER has announced the cities on the group's upcoming Jagermeister Music
Tour that will include the "Wall of Blood." At these select shows
(determined by each venue's technical specifications) during Slayer's
classic song "Raining Blood," the band, their instruments, and the stage
will be drenched by a downpour of "blood." The "Wall of Blood" will rain
more than 150 litres of theatrical blood over an area measuring from 32-feet
to 40-feet wide (determined by the size of the venuešs stage), 25-feet high,
and six-feet deep. The device is a dedicated truss and sprinkler system
that utilizes a unique pump technology, and was designed exclusively for
Slayer by UK-based Hangman Productions.

Slayer used the "raining blood" effect last July in Augusta, ME while
filming their brand-new DVD, "Still Reigning." The Dean Karr-directed DVD
opens with the the band's 1986, 28-minute benchmark album "Reign In Blood"
performed live in its entirety by Slayer's original line-up - Tom Araya
(vocals, bass), guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, and drummer Dave
Lombardo, who permanently rejoined the band in 2003. "Still Reigning" also
offers bonus material including live performances of Slayer classics such as
"War Ensemble," "Hallowed Point," "Necrophobic," "Mandatory Suicide," "Spill
The Blood," "Hell Awaits," and "South of Heaven," as well as exclusive
interviews and backstage footage. "Still Reigning" has a running time of
more than 80-minutes and a confirmed November 2, 2004 release date.
