I don't think anyone mentioned dynamic range besides that kid who used it and meant to use the just the word dynamic. The word dynamic mentioned and the definition of dynamic since you don't know it is, "Characterized by continuous change, activity, or progress." secondly the reason that death metal vocals don't have a dynamics range is because of this little processing unit called the COMPRESSOR. what a compressor does is squashes down the really loud parts so it comes closer to the parts in lower volume. that way you can hear the quiet stuff even when the guitars are just as loud as they were when he was giving out a loud growl. If you don't think it's used often I recorded Mike of Fall of Decrepitude's vocals yesterday and compressed the fuck out of them.
