In fact, he opened my ears and eyes up to some more modern day tech death bands. I just can't listen to these kind of bands day in and day out. I prefer the under polished, under-produced gritty sound of the late 80s up to the late 90s for death metal. Then again, I was way more into death metal 10 years ago than I am now. I guess the big point is, hipster black metal sucks, and tech death is over done now.
