I don't know where you got the perception that I'm elitist. If you want to read my opinions as fact, so be it. But I shouldn't have to say "imo" in every fucking sentence for you to figure out that anything I say is just my opinion. And I like to think about the music I listen to, I like to think about the specifics of it, and I think genres are important because categorizing things correctly is the fastest way to get other people into similar bands, much like the various sections of a library. You wouldn't want to have to comb through a bunch of reference and non-fiction books to find a novel to read, would you?

So go ahead and get mad. Kick my ass even. I'm not a big guy. I'm 5'6" and weigh 150 pounds. I wouldn't even try to fight you. I'm just going to say how it is right now and if some kid speaking his mind really bothers you so much, perhaps you shouldn't be reading message boards.
