Kultur was a prime example of this. I don't think anyone actually enjoyed their music but everytime I would go to one of their shows it was guaranteed that there'd be 50 people there that I knew and had a good time with. I'd actually spend most of my time outside with them hahaha. My point is, they would get booked all the time for the opposite reason of why a band should get booked on a show.
