You think the composition is better? I could care less about the metal aspect of it as I know Paul moved away from metal with everything else.. But there's no Textures or Veil of Maya. Traced in Air is a good album but I was expecting more. My buddy bought the box set and loves it- he keeps telling me to listen to it more because it will grow on me. I'd rather listen to Gordian Knot or even that "portal" demo they put out after cynic disbanded. With focus, it was love at first listen. Wasn't the case with traced in air for me. But then again, I haven't given it enough play time I guess.
