Another great time at the Block!
Teratism was awesome again, but not quite as awesome as the mic stands. I was in the back this show and I really think they need a bassist now more then ever. Someone try out for this band, if you don't play bass then take lessons and be quick about it.
Raising Kubrick played one of the tightest sets I have seen from them. I think the vocals could have been turned up slightly, but usually it's the other way around with Sarah. They ended one song early, I guess they didn't hear me say 1 more song.
Summer Dying was really tight and energetic, reminded me alot of Shadows Fall/In Flames sort of stuff. I think I saw some people up front who knew the words, people I've never seen before. Hopefully those people realize there is a thriving local scene now and sing along to:
Random Acts of Violence was on next, and if you don't know this band yet then log off this site for good. Super tight as usual, and they helped sober Moran up just by playing. It remains to be seen if that was a good thing or not.
Gut headlined this fiasco with their new drummer, Mike Adams. They only played for around 30 minutes because Mike is so new in fact that he hasn't learned all their songs yet. They have a new cd coming out in about a month or so, but I got it yesterday and am about to listen to it.
