It really is a goddamn shame, Brian. We must remedy this.
That's cool that Tim is going to start pre-making them. I waited FOREVER for my Buzzbomb but it was absolutely worth it. Didn't know his workshop flooded. That really sucks.
I'm curious what some
nice
tubes would do in my Mesa gear. I've got the coveted mid 80's Simul 2:95 power amp with 6L6's and EL34's and a Mesa Quad pre-amp, which is basically the pre-amp sections of the Mark II C+ and Mark III.
One of my students is a guy in his mid 40s who buys and flips older Gibsons and Fenders. I think it's safe to say that his '74 Les Paul Custom is the nicest guitar I've ever played. His '69 SG is a close second. Those were $5000 +
