For nearly two years now, the Massachusetts based record label Hold True Recordings has been engaged in an ongoing effort to raise food and awareness for the Worcester, MA. division of the Operation: Military Kids Emergency Food Program. The Operation: Military Kids is a collaboration between the U.S. Army and leaders within local communities to support military families affected by a loved one's deployment. The food generated by the efforts of Hold True Recordings is being placed directly into the hands of military families who, because of deployments and the disruptions to household incomes they bring to activated reservists in particular, would otherwise have to make the grizzly choice of paying bills or buying groceries and other necessities.

On Saturday March 28th Hold True recordings, along with it's partners, 91.5FM WUML's “The Stress Factor” radio show, and local promotion company “Nasty Promotions” will be hosting the first of it's 2009 benefit shows for the O:MKEFP. The event is going to take place at the Quinsigamond Village Community Center and will be open to all ages. Doors will be at 5:30pm and the show will start at 6:00pm. It will be just $5 at the door, and everyone attending is encouraged to bring non-perishable donations of canned food, with free door prizes given to people who donate 10 canned items or more.

The following bands will be performing at the show:

Tales
Anomia
Acariya
Say Uncle
Heisai Yasokawa's Empty Orchestra
Easter Goblins
