i have a 10GB maxtor thats still tickin, allthough its painfully slow. I went through 4 60GB western digitals in a year so i'm pretty much done with them. Right now i've got a 500GB Hitachi Deskstar thats just over a year old, we'll see how long that makes it. And i'm using a 160GB western digital that i found lyin around somewhere in my MythTV computer, only gets me something like 80 hours of recording but eventually i'll throw a bigger drive in there. Problem is the computer is IDE only and it doesnt really make much sense to put a sata board in there. So i gotta find the biggest IDE drive i can which is probably only 500GB and probably twice as expensive as a 1TB Sata drive.
