The fact is that we're not meant to be with just one person (it's incredibly rare to find any one you get along with most of the time) and when you force it you just create an untenable situation. So, that doesn't mean give up on monogamy, just accept that both people have to be into it and want to stay together. She might come around and want you back but the dynamic will always be in her favor at that point. Probably best to let it go and try something new. No end of a relationship is a failure, they are all opportunities to learn more about yourself.
