People hopefully know starting a power metal band will get you nowhere unless you have EXCELLENT musicians and singer(s)...power metal is so played out by now you really need superior songwriting and singers who command and soar above the music, but most attempts out there are terrible. I think Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Virgin Steele are the kings of the genre. I wouldn't mind seeing more power metal around but chances are I'd rather huff cyanide gas than see any 'local' power metal band.
