I assume you are the one who voted between ears and chin. I know what you mean. The first time I tried to grow my hair long it frustrated me so much. I began trimming it to avoid that really awkward area that you are approching (from chin to shoulders) that I refer to as "the awkward area between short and long". I hate it. But take my word of advice, once it gets about down to your chin, start wearing it in a pony tail, after about 3 days it feels much less awkward.

Thats the worst phase of it. It looks weird and its too short to tie back, I almost shaved it off agian.
