Today we are proud to announce the signing of Call To Preserve to Facedown Records!
Call To Preserve have a solution to the counterfeit emotion that is so prevalent in the current underground music scene. "We don't preach from stage or fit into anyone's mold," says guitarist Matt Aviles. "But we're sincere about who we are and we feel like this is where God wants us to be." Their integrity and candor is what sets this Floridian five-piece apart from their musical contemporaries; and the heavy, catchy quality of their music is what makes CTP's enthusiastic live show so irresistible.
Energetically clearing hurdles that would be the demise of most bands, Call To Preserve has persisted, spending years developing their signature sound. They comfortably join together heavy Buried Alive-type moments, vintage NYHC-style bounce and melody-infused flavor in the vein of Give Up the Ghost. The result is an assault of burly hardcore anthems about faith, perseverance, friendship, loyalty and the straight-edge lifestyle to which they strictly adhere.
After self-releasing an EP in 2005, booking several tours around the east coast and releasing a full-length with Strike First Records in 2006, Call To Preserve has now been signed to Facedown Records for the fall 2008 release of "From Isolation." The new album is being recorded at The Outpost in Stoughton, MA with Engineer Jim Siegel, best known for his work with Dropkick Murphys, Blood For Blood, Give Up The Ghost and Death Threat.
Regarding the lyrical content of the new album, guitarist Harbor Partin has this to say: "We've written about being in places in life where we feel we're at our lowest and don't know why. The times when our faults are getting the best of us are the times we learn who we really are. It's when we're broken and humble that we're able to see the full extent of grace."
The hardcore band from Florida's Space Coast has a humanitarian design for the new album. "We just hope people hear the lyrics and see themselves in it...that the songs will make a positive impact in others' lives."
