There's a few i was looking at that look like they could handle what I need to do (which is be able to record an entire band. Probably do guitars, then drums seperately, then bass and vocals.)
I don't need anything nuts or studio quality. it would mostly just be used for recording stuff for memory, preproduction, and to send riff ideas back and forth to my singer in tennesse
Let me know if they'd all work or not. If they do I'll probably just go with the cheapest option since I'm not looking to do any mixing or mastering or any crazy studio quality recording.

That last one (the alesis) I'm concerned about because it's only got 4 mic inputs and 4 line ins, I don't know if the line ins could be hooked up to mics. If they could, then I'd be able to record 8 tracks simultaneously, which would be good enough for a drum set.. but if I'm limited to only the 4 mic ins then I'd need something bigger like this:

I'd really like that smaller alesis to work for this because I don't want to dish out the cash for a bigger one, but let me know.
