Some benchmarks of Quake4 (which will be comparable to ET:QW) at the highest qualites, 4x AA, 8x AF, and 1600x1200 show a 6.5fps difference between 2 8800gts running in SLI and a single 8800gtx. I don't think six and a half frames per second is worth $200 haha. I'll probably be going for a single vid card after all.
