*Grindethic Records* has announced the signing of UK extreme metallers *
DETRIMENTUM*. The label had previously released their debut release, the
colossal EP "*A Monument to Suffering*" in 1999.
Commented *Tom* from *Grindethic*: "After long discussions with the band, we
are extremely proud to announce that the fantastic full-length "*Embracing
This Deformity*" will see light of day via *Grindethic Records* in Spring
2007. This album offers a unique experience of dark and crushing brutality
intertwined with an atmosphere of morbid doom."

Beginning life under the name *ZARATHUSTRA* in 1996, the band would evolve
into the monster known as *DETRIMENTUM*. Recorded over a 2year period, their
upcoming magnus opus "*Embracing this Deformity*" exhibits the band's
exceptional depth and maturity in compositions whereby they craft an
unconventional mix of old-school deathmetal combined with sweeping guitar
melodies, expansive doom passages and tortured vocals.
